HOW WE BUILD CLIENT TRUST

I can only imagine that choosing an Interior Designer for your home could be like choosing a Michelin Star restaurant to eat out at while you’re on a bucket list vacation. There’s a lot of looming questions… How many courses is the meal? Is it art or is it food – or both? Why are the portions so small? Will it be good? Will I even be full when we’re done? Am I going to have to get Pizza on the way home? Bucket list vacations don’t happen often and neither do Michelin Star dinners; similarly to how remodeling/building a new home likely doesn’t happen often. So, of course, you want this moment to be PERFECT – that’s why you decide to speak with an Interior Designer to guide you through your home renovation. Now here’s the kicker; how do you find someone you like, feel confident in, and trust? Can you have all 3? I really take this perspective to heart – hiring a designer is a huge investment and takes quite a bit of faith, which is something I highly respect. These are a few key items we bring to the table that help us build Trust with our clients:

TRANSPARENT PRICING

1             HOURLY RATE VS FLAT FEE

Hourly Rate: For smaller projects (under the size of a full home remodel), we give a honed in low – high estimate of hours to prepare our clients for their investment in our services. This way, surprises can be eliminated head-on and you can bake us into your overall project budget.

Flat Fee: For larger projects (full home remodel + new build), we give a flat fee estimate for the project’s entirety. These estimates are reached through the tracking of all our past project’s hours which helps us know how long your project would take us on average. For a large-scale project, this is another easy way to budget our services into your total cost.

Designer Fee: Otherwise known as a ‘commission’ on our goods sold, we let our clients know exactly what we purchase a product for and exactly what our commission percentage is. No secrets.

2             4 MONTH CALENDARS

We plan all design meetings out 4 months in advance to create expectations of the project flow.

3             WEEKLY EMAILS

Each Friday, we send a weekly email that explains what we worked on that week and what is to come for the next week. Our goal is to eliminate the ‘What is my designer doing?’ questions.

So, if the Holy Trifecta is finding someone you like, feel confident in, and trust.. I believe you can have all 3 through honest + open communication.
